Donation for Sumatra at Literasi Park Responded Positively

A donation drive to aid post-disaster recovery on Sumatra Island during New Year's Eve in Jakarta was overwhelmingly positive, including those celebrating at the Literasi Park in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

As of 10 PM, total donations to help landslide and flood survivors on Sumatra Island from residents celebrating New Year's at the Literasi Park had reached Rp 10,627,000.

Taufik (27), a resident living in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java admitted that he chose to enjoy New Year's Eve at the Literasi Park because there were several interesting activities to enjoy.

"My partner and I often go to Literasi Park. So I chose this place because it's just a great place to relax," he said, Wednesday (12/31).

Taufik appreciated the Jakarta Provincial Government for still holding New Year's Eve, but packaged in interesting ways and of course there was fundraising for natural disaster survivors on Sumatra Island.

Meanwhile, a resident of Bangka Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan, Rizki (23) admitted he came to Literasi Park together with his partner to celebrate new year.

"Besides enjoying the event, which featured a hilarious band and comedians, we were also intrigued by the Car-Free Night, which added to the fun," he admitted.

Regarding the donation of aid for natural disaster survivors on Sumatra Island through QRIS around the location, the New Year's Eve atmosphere felt even more full of togetherness.

"I hope that the Jakarta Provincial Government will progress further in 2026 and care more about its residents," he hoped.
